Our Seniors

When I was in grade school learning the basics, ABCs and Arithmetic, there was a group of people who were working and keeping the American economy afloat. While earning my first college degree, a Bachelor's of Science in nursing, there was a group of citizens paying taxes and working continuously for the sake of America's future. That group now has the title of "our seniors". They now depend on legislators that will honor their contributions by enacting and voting on legislation that represents an appreciation. It is appalling to see legislation that will constantly take away benefits from our seniors. Current representatives have forgotten that this group made a clear pathway for them. They also have forgotten that one day they too will be a senior. Just as with our veterans, I do not believe in giving our seniors the "your service is no longer needed" treatment. All of my life, I have fought for seniors. I will continue to be their voice on Capitol Hill.

"I will take YOUR voices to Capitol Hill. When I go, YOU go."
